Echome is a platform that helps users find and discover the most interesting restaurants, bars and dishes around their localisation. It's a platform based on customer reviews and business profiles, with a special focus on private communities and truthful reviews.
I've worked as a Lead UX/UI designer for this project since 2013. First designing a new logo and brand styleguide, and later taking their existing Android Beta to a new look & feel for iOS and Android.
Echome's strapline is "redefine delicious". The logo plays with the location pin icon and a character licking its lips: "I spotted a delicious dish!"
As part of a remote team, many hours were spent discussing the best UX for its various user flows. Although it might seem easy to use for users, the app is quite complex in terms of functionality and user flows. The wireframe process was designed with Pencil and built in Invisionapp.
The design for both Android and iOS respond to an easy to use mobile app. The style is elegant and minimalist, putting attention on how user generated content would fit in. The different sections are colour coded (businesses = red, blue = review, friends = green, messages = yellow) and the app uses various icons for its many functions.
iOS app was design for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The Android app has a slightly different look&feel, updated for Anddroid 5.0 Lollipop features.
